The Surrealists Hit Poprad

Running until the 22nd of March in Poprad’s major arts space, the Elektráreň (aka the Power Plant), is an exhibition featuring some 100 works from the most famous surrealist artists, Dali and Chagall (along with Dufy and Derain). We all know Poprad has some truly stunning scenery nearby, and that this is why you’re visiting. But it’s a city that’s working hard of late to offer some cultural diversions, and here is the result! See the website of the Tatranská Galeria (Tatras Gallery) for more – but for the salient details, here’s a map of how to find the Elektráreň; opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, and Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.

See our intro to Poprad to find out more about the city and then saddle up for some classic outdoor adventures in the rest of our Places to Go/High Tatras chapter!
