Slovak Sweets & Snacks

It doesn’t sound a bad job, right? A lady who goes by the name of Emmy Eats… going around Europe, tasting all their different junk food… (how is she still so slim?) Well, Slovak sweets and snacks can throw up a few interesting cultural insights as well as a bucketload of carbs… this video features korbačik (the knotted-together salty cheese strips), chrumky (potato puffs not dissimilar to wotsits) and a few classic Communist chocolate bars (Deva – check the pic of the deva, or maiden on the side!) and Horalky of course (chocolate coated wafers).

The poor girl does struggle a tad with pronunciation of the Slovak words and her initial expressions when popping each of the different sugary salty treats into her mouth are hilarious, but overall this is a great intro to Slovak junk food!
