Heavy Snow in Bratislava – in Pictures

For today’s post, the pictures say it all: the snow that’s been coming down all week this morning went crazy, and was descending in chunks, incessantly! And still is! The classic Slovak Christmas movie, Perin Baba, in which an old woman shakes her feather duvet from the heavens when she deems that snow should fall, springs to mind… In any case, several hours’ of snowfall this morning meant the snow on the ground was up to the tops of car wheels. Out on the vineyards, where fewer people had been walking, the snow was even thicker… the thickest Englishmaninslovakia has ever seen it in Bratislava.
